The Red River Area Sportsmen’s Club (RRASC) was organized to promote and improve hunting, fishing and other outdoor-oriented recreation in the cities of Wahpeton, N.D. and Breckenridge, Minn. and the surrounding area.
We are a local non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of wildlife habitat and host events for youth to give them the opportunity to enjoy and learn to respect nature and wildlife. We work with other State and Local organizations in North Dakota and Minnesota to promote hunting, fishing and outdoor activities in both states.
Our goal is to make sure that there is opportunity in the future for youth and adults alike to be able to enjoy nature and its inhabitants. We focus on many projects throughout the year, an ongoing project includes installing and developing fishing areas along the Red River and Kidder Recreation Area.
The North Dakota Outdoors did a video segment about our Junior Wildlife Club and the importance of wildlife organizations.
We meet monthly on the third Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Wahpeton Community Center. Occasionally, meetings are held at other locations such as Kidder Recreation Area, Mooreton Pond, and Head of the Red Gun Club.
Meeting topics generally include reports on upcoming club events, community events, proposals for new projects, our scholarships and grants, and other issues as they arise. We also discussion issues and activities related to the ND Wildlife Federation, ND Game & Fish, MN DNR, and SE Area Sportsmen's Club.
We sponsor a number of events throughout the year, most of them focusing on youth activities.

The Red River Area Sportsmen’s Club, working with T & G Sanitation, provides dumpsters to collect hides and carcasses during the fall deer hunting season. They are located at Tractor Supply in Wahpeton, ND and there is a hide dumpster located just north of the Blazer Express in Breckenridge, MN.
We encourage all hunters to utilize these dumpsters and dispose of their hides and carcasses in a clean and safe manner. Please be respectful of what goes in the dumpsters and clean up around them as needed. The dumpsters are available to all deer hunters in either state, so if a Minnesota hunter has a carcass, they can take it to the carcass dumpster located in Wahpeton.
Thank you to Tractor Supply and the Blazer Express for allowing the club to locate these dumpsters on their property.
