Program FAQs
A few quick answers—reach out anytime if you’re not sure where to start.
Do kids need experience to participate?
No—many of our programs are designed for beginners. We focus on safety, encouragement, and learning by doing.
What ages are your youth programs for?
Most activities are great for kids and teens. Specific age guidance is shared in each event announcement.
Do parents/guardians need to stay?
For junior wildlife activities and guided hunts parents are not required to be present. Fishing tournaments are geared towards a family experience.
What should we bring?
Dress for the weather, bring water, and wear closed-toe shoes. If gear is required, we’ll list it ahead of time—and we often have loaner equipment.
How do I find upcoming dates and locations?
Follow us on social media and registered kids 8 to 16 to be part of the Junior Wildlife Club for event emails.
Can I volunteer if I’m not a member?
Yes. Volunteers are welcome—membership is a great next step if you’d like to stay involved year-round.
Ready to join a program or help out?
Become a member, volunteer for a conservation activity, or ask about sponsoring youth programming—every bit of support helps kids get outside and learn safely.
