  • Friday, October 22 for setup and Saturday October 23 for preparation and the actual Event
  • St. John’s Church Mehock Center kitchen for Friday October 22 for food preparation.

Red River Projects (Brett Lambrecht, Rich Truesdell)

  • South side dock is not getting used; should we consider relocating the dock? Open to location ideas – Kelly to talk with City Engineer to see if there are any options for us in getting area around the dock maintained

Mooreton Pond Projects (Brad Glarum, Greg Gerou, Vern Shasky, Rich Truesdell)

  • Dock measured for floats – west dock may need to be moved to better level the dock – Rich and Greg G to review placement

Fishing/Hunting Events

  • Neil Heitkamp Ice Fishing Derby (Vern Shasky, Cindie Van Tassel) – February 19, 2022
  • Vince Herding Youth Fishing Derby (Rich & Becci Truesdell) – TBD for 2022
  • Dick Bell Catfish Derby (Justin Kratz) – TBD for 2022. 16 participated in 2021 event. Would there be any interest in partnering with other clubs along Red River and extending tournament participation? RRASC will need a new chairperson going forward – BIG THANK YOU to Justin for chairing the tourney for many years!!
  • Family Fishing Nights (Cindie Van Tassel) – cancelled for 2021 due to no volunteers
  • Brunk’s Carp & Sucker Derby (Greg Gerou, Wayne Beyer) – August 4, 2021 @ Kidder Rec – volunteers needed
  • Fall Youth Goose Hunt (Dylan Teberg, Cindie Van Tassel) – September 11-12, 2021
  • Marv Manock Youth Waterfowl Hung (Kevin Manock) – September 18, 2021 @ Tewaukon – volunteers needed
  • Fall Youth Pheasant Hunt (Mark Althoff) – October 2, 2021 @ Chuck Haus’s – volunteers needed
  • Ladies Rooster Roundup (Abby Carlson) – Oct 16, 2021 @ Chuck Haus’s – volunteers needed. Working on grants.
  • Veterans Hunt (Abby Carlson, Mary Rausch) – September 11 and 12, 2021. Looking at cutting back participants and going to a one-day event based on grant funding received.

National Wild Turkey Federation (Richland Renegade Toms Chairperson Brad Glarum) – Feb 4, 2022

  • NWTF donated $100 to RRASC Jr Wildlife

Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (Bois-de-Sioux Chapter) – TBD for 2022

  • RMEF sent gifts for being a member – will put these gifts in the Smoker Raffle

Bench recognition plaque name nominations

  • Plan is to have multiple names per plaque – 5 benches will need plaques
  • Nominations received: Randy Hovde, Vince Herding, Mike Fenske, Jeff Trom, Larry Brunkhorst, Marv Manock, Randy Hoerer, Wayne Beyer
  • We have been quoted $25 per plaque so far; looking at a couple other options as well

Pop-up online store (Abby)

  • Pending Board review; can be used as a fundraiser for the club
  • Online clothing store; will include stickers, koozies, coffee mugs, etc
  • Waiting on graphics from Grippers

 LeRoy Smith – medical – doing better! Cindie sent a card on behalf of the Club

Donation made to RRASC: Remington Nylon 22 rifle – collector value is greater than “blue book” by 2-3 times; donation was made by Ron and Deb Knutson

 Ask Before You Enter signs: RRASC is out but there is an interest – Greg G will check with NDWF

16K students are participating in clay target leagues across the US
