Call to order at 7:30 p.m.

Welcome guest, Kali Lee, the NDWF Eastern Conservation Specialist. She is here to meet the group and see how the NDWF can assist with our projects. Provided Greg with the R3 grant application, which is good for our fall hunts.

Board of Directors Reports

President

• FCCU bank account – Add Rich Truesdell and Justin Kratz. Greg Gerou and Brad Glarum should be removed.
• Need to purchase four tables to donate to Chuck for hosting the fall hunts. 8’ commercial grade – Rich will look into and order some.
• Wayne Beyer is turning 70 and his daughter would like to put together a video for him – greeting , favorite memory, etc. If interested Greg G has her contact information.

Vice President

• Represented the club at the Operation Zero event with Melissa and Pat. The event had a poor turnout due to the fair the same weekend.
• Shared information about setting up a temporary storefront for the club. Recommended to also talk with Grippers and Creative Stitches to keep it local.

Secretary

• Twin Tow Block Party – need 3-4 volunteers to help out that evening (Justin, TJ & Melissa offered)

Treasurer

• Checking $55,248  / Thrivent $65,056
• Expenses:Taxes $195, Econo Jr Wildlife $28.66, Econo Meeting $28.96, Zoo Boo/Jr Wildlife $428.80
• MSC (Greg G/TJ)
• Thrivent Choice is set up. We have a flyer about this that can be displayed/shared at our events. Should include a list of what we would use it for or need of physical items.

Board of Directors

• Cindie – MN DNR CWD rules are changing and some areas are now rifle, Wilkin County did not change. They are having two online auctions for confiscated items August 31 and September 28.
• Greg – Still having issues with mailing of the bank statement. Hailey N was the person who helped Rich with paperwork. Ashley M received the information from Rich. They may need the May and June minutes again. Justin went in and signed with Holly. Want to use our PO address if they would allow it.

Parks & Recreation

• Ryan Steffens is the new director and should be invited to a future meeting.

Jr. Wildlife Club

• August 20 Zoo Tour – Kangaroo Walk with Bruce, 10 kids participated.
• September 10 – Tewaukon Rich will talk to Mike about driving bus.
• Will have to have Junior Wildlife at Hughes Shelter in November because of Zoo Wild Game Night.

Public Relations

• Upcoming Community Events
  • August 23 – NDSCS Block Party, September 19 – Headwaters Parade,
    September 26 – NDSCS Parade, October 24 – Zoo Boo
  • August 29 – KFP Experience from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. with Archery, Fishing, Displays & Booths, Food
• Website redesign is complete. If anyone notices content updates or performance issues let Becci know.
• Please use the new canopy, table cloth and sail flag at all club events and those events we go to.

Smoker

• Save the date for October 23 and 24 – volunteers needed!!
• Raffle tickets are ready to sell and posters distributed
• Looking for a Kitchen and Food Prep lead for the event Friday and Saturday
• Bob has a person we can get us onions, potatoes, carrots, etc. for the stew and chili. Greg B said he can help store it.
• There is still a gun that was not picked up from last year. Have certificates this year for those not present with a timeline to pick up or forfeit.

Mooreton Pond/Kidder Dam

• We need to plan a time in September to remove and make repairs to the docks. We will buy materials and get reimbursed by ND G&F. Richland County park board is in charge of the shoreline.

Seasonal Committee Reports

• Fall Hunts
  • September 12 – Goose Hunt
    • Set for locations options and will talk to the property owners.
    • Cindie handling the sign-up (4 for Saturday / 4 for Sunday)
  • September 19 – Marv Manock Waterfowl Hunt
    • 15 person limit – concern about water levels and not having many birds around
    • Need to share hunt via email and Facebook, link Kevin to the registration spreadsheet.
    • Cargill donating syrup and Greg is lining up the food crew for this and pheasant hunt.
  • October 3 – Youth Pheasant Hunt
    • Richland Pheasants will pay for the birds for the two youth hunts.
  • October 24 – Ladies Hunt
  • October 30 – Band of Brothers Hunt

Internal Club Contests (must be submitted by the end of the March meeting)

• RRASC Internal Hunting Contests (April – March) – Youth & Adult categories
  • Deer/Elk/etc.         Turkey Beard          Pheasant Tail Feather           Waterfowl, # of species harvested 
• RRASC Internal Fishing (Fresh/Salt Water) Contests (April – March) – Youth & Adult categories
  • Carter Gerou – 22” over 5 lb. Largemouth Bass
  • Bear Gerou – 6” Largemouth Bass

Other Business

• Wahpeton Police drug prevention education donation request. Pass for now.
• Backpack Program in need of donations to purchase food for approx 360 kids. Pass – we already pay processing for donating deer meat in the fall.
• There is a possible bar in MN that the new buyer may be interested in having their digital gaming go to our club. Justin will check on the process and we need to check with any state limitations.
• KFO Family Day – volunteers are still needed, going to share event on the radio
• Shotgun shell reloading stuff available from a family to donate to anyone who is interested in using it. They also have fly fishing fly tying materials. Contact Greg B.
• Donation of 12 ga. Goose loads to the club.
