Twin Town Archery Registration is now open!

Twin Town Archery is affiliated with the Richland County 4-H Shooting Sports, Wahpeton Public Schools, Breckenridge Public Schools, and Campbell-Tintah Public School, and we provide a youth archery league that follows the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) guidelines. This league is open to students in 4th grade through 12th grade.

Registration for the 2024-2025 school year is limited to 92 registrations (20 per time slot); once the program is full, a waiting list will be taken.  Archers will be assigned to a time slot start time between 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Sundays.  All sessions will be held at the Wahpeton Community Center, 304 5th Street South.

The National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) was developed to serve specific educational and conservation purposes by the Kentucky Departments of Fish & Wildlife Resources and the Department of Education and Mathews Archery in 2001. The program was launched in 21 Kentucky middle schools. The effort’s goal was to enroll 120 schools and teach target archery skills to 24,000 students each year. Kentucky gave itself three years to achieve this goal.

Within the program’s first year the 120-school goal was achieved and because of neighboring-state interest, “National” replaced “Kentucky” in the program’s name. www.archeryintheschools.org

Tournaments are optional but are encouraged for archers who have been in the program for two or more years – all archers (gr 4-12) are welcome to participate in tournaments that attend school in Wahpeton, Breckenridge or Campbell-Tintah.  The tournaments listed below are ones we will ensure coaches are staffed at.  More tournament opportunities are available at nasptournaments.org – if you see a tournament you would like to take your archer to please contact Heather to get registered; we cannot promise that a coach will attend those tournaments.

All bows/equipment needed to participate are provided at no cost.  If you would like to purchase your own bow (not required but recommended if you are serious about tournaments), Kirk Loewen is an authorized dealer.  Kirk lives in Hankinson and can be reached at (701) 899-4046 (let him know Heather or Nathan gave you his name).

• Safety is Top Priority (Obey All Rules) 
• IF YOU OR A FAMILY MEMBER ARE SICK FOR ANY REASON – PLEASE STAY HOME!
• Be Punctual!
• Wear appropriate clothing (no baggy clothing, no open toed shoes/sandals)
• Give Coaches Your Undivided Attention and Respect
• No hats
• No Horse Play
• No Cell Phone or electronic devises can be used during session (unless it’s an emergency)
• Must be Respectful of Everyone
• Must Have Fun
• Must Have a Positive Attitude
• Each archer who does not own their own bow (not required) will be assigned a bow.
• Archers may shoot their own arrows.  Personal arrows are recommended for tournaments and required for State/National Tournaments.  We will have arrows for sale if anyone wants to purchase their own.  We will provide arrows as needed for tournaments – purchasing is not required.

If you cannot follow our expectations, you will be asked to leave the program.
